The Buying Guide

It makes sense……..to leave the summer sizzle and the winter chill

outside your home. When you install an air conditioner, you choose

the temperature you want .... cooling relief in summer and (with some

models) the warmth you need in winter.

What is Air Conditioning?

Air conditioning is the process of treating air so that simultaneously it controls the temperature, relative humidity and cleanliness. Air conditioning can also be used to control building ventilation and air distribution.

The Benefits of

Cooling: Actual removal of heat from your home in summer. This makes the area more pleasant to live in and enjoyable.

Humidity Control: With electric refrigerated air conditioning, humidity is reduced to comfort level on those hot "sticky" days, and the excess moisture is expelled outside the building.

Filtration: All the air in the conditioned area passes through a filter (mounted on the air conditioner) several times each hour, removing dust, pollen etc. There is also a noticeable absence of insects. The filtering activity of the air conditioner allows doors and windows to be kept closed. There's greater relief for asthma and hay fever sufferers.

Circulation: Clean air conditioned air, circulates throughout the room and assures that the atmosphere in your home can be refreshed at any time. Also, you home stays cleaner for a longer period.

Heating: Modern air conditioners can reverse the seasons for you. Economical reverse cycle units, commonly called "Heat Pumps", provide cozy warmth in winter at the cheapest possible rates.
